Rodney Fun Comic Collection Vol. 1

Here's a comic collection drawn by the creator of the Parappa franchise, Rodney Alan Greenblat. The comics are pretty basic with no coloring or shading, just outlines of the characters we all know and love in different colors. But are they interesting? You bet!

Vol 1 - PJ and his daily routines. Eating and sleeping during daytime, DJ at night. However, his dreams are a whole other story...

Vol 2 - Sunny Funny wants to host a garden party, but has some preparations to be done with first. Unfortunately, not everyone appreciates what she has to offer...

Vol 3 - Katy Kat has a hard time adjusting to the adult lifestyle. She's working all day long, but still can't afford renting a decent apartment. Some of her belongings are even falling to pieces! But her shopping dreams aren't over when she one day experiences a very pleasant surprise...

Vol 4 - Parappa wants money to buy a new video game, but has a hard time adjusting to a job.

Vol 5 - Non-Parappa. Square Bear's really absurd adventures, completely without text, open to interpretation.

The album is titled "volume 1", but there were never any additional volumes of this series. Such a shame, really.

Parappa the Rapper Complete Anime Series (Ep. 1-30+Scans+Extras) RAW

Parappa the Rapper lives in ParappaTown with his friends: PJ (The grooviest DJ bear in town), Paula (A fox who always speaks her mind and loves doing sports), Katy (A cat with a sense for fashion), Matt (An intellectual and reasonable dog), Sunny (A cute sunflower and the main character's crush, but easily saddened) and, of course, Parappa (A teenaged dog who has a heart of gold, never gives up and wants to catch the attention of Sunny Funny). There's many weird happenings in Parappa Town with these guys around, and it really heats up when two despicable thiefs, Gaster and Gruber, moves into the town and starts wrecking havoc!

Unlike the video games, there's little to no musical sequences in the series. There are two tracks from the games used in a few episodes, as well as four unique opening and ending themes, but nothing more. The show pushes morals heavily, as well as problem solving in comedic situations. It's clearly made for a younger audience than the games and doesn't have the wacky humor the games are known for, but you'll probably enjoy this anyway if you're a hardcore fan.

I planned to do this myself, but a kind soul beat me to it. Youtube user "oddMLan" uploaded the contents of my torrent (from Nyaa) and made it available for direct download! Thanks a lot!

Parappa the Rapper 2 Desktop Accessories + Parappa on Screen (ISO+Scans)

When Parappa the Rapper was at the peak of popularity in the late 90s and early 2000s, merchandise were flourishing. Toasters, vinyl scratchers, pill boxes... Whatever you can think of had Parappa's face on it. Parappa related media was huge as well, with official soundtracks from every game, a TV-show on DVD and, last but not least, desktop accessories. "Desktop accessories" were really popular in Japan at the time and almost every major anime, manga or video game got one. Here's two discs of Parappa goodness, like: wallpapers, Windows themes, desktop mascots, digital clocks, screensavers... Basically everything you can wish for when you want to give your computer a complete Parappa overhaul!

"Parappa on Screen" is based on the first game and offers animated screensavers with instrumental songs from the game. The main menu is a map of Parappa town, and every building will give you an unique screensaver based on the location it's at.

"Parappa Desktop Accessories" is based on the second game and has a much simpler menu than the previous title, but offers much more content. You have calendars, wallpapers, windows themes, screensavers and desktop mascot, all in a simple-to-use interface. Keep in mind that everything's in Japanese, so you may be a bit lost if you can't read it.

PS: This software will ask for a serial key when you run the installer. Please use the code bundled together with the iso.

Parappa the Rapper 2 + Um Jammer Lammy (Parappa Edition) Official Guidebook

I'm back once again to provide you with the extremely detailed strategy guide for Parappa the Rapper 2! Yeah, I know, the game is easy to beat, so a guide seems pretty useless... BUT! This is more of an art book than an actual guide. There's lots of exclusive artwork, as well as interviews with the voice actors and creators. The page count is a massive 145 pages long, but unfortunately only in Japanese.

As an extra bonus, I'm including the "Um Jammer Lammy" strategy guide as well. The guide had both a "Parappa" and "Lammy" version released as separate volumes, but this is just the Parappa version of the book.

Parappa the Rapper - Commercial Collection (21 Videos)

Parappa the Rapper has always been very popular in Japan, and that's thanks to some extremely well-thought-out marketing by Sony. Both "Crash Bandicoot" and "Parappa the Rapper" had a fierce battle to win the title of the official Playstation mascot in the early days of the console, but in the end, none of them won. The winner was the lovable cat "Toro", which remained their mascot until the early 2010s.

These commercials will seem very random for people not accustomed to Japanese humor, but trust me, they're surprisingly entertaining. It doesn't matter if you know Japanese or not, you'll probably still get the idea of the commercials. There's a few French and American commercials as well as a little bonus!

Milkcan - Make it Sweet (320kbps+FLAC+BIN+Scans)

"Milkcan Make it Sweet" is an album with music from the Um Jammer Lammy game. Instead of having the teachers sing, every song is sung by Lammy or Katy. There's also some fake commercials included to make it sound like a radio channel, which is a pretty neat touch.

Also includes scans of the booklet and CD. The spine card was unfortunately missing from my copy.

Milkcan - Got to Move Single (320kbps+FLAC+BIN+Scans)

A special single released to promote the "Milkcan - Make it Sweet" CD. It includes two tracks from the Um Jammer Lammy game: "Got To Move" and "Power Off! Power On!". The cover for this release is a bit interesting, as it resembles a cassette tape case instead of your typical CD-cover. There's a white plastic case inside with the disc attached, and two pieces of cardboard paper on the front and back. You open the case from the bottom. The CD itself was about the same size as a GameCube disc.

Also included are scans of the cover, CD, booklet and some limited edition stickers, received as a gift for buying the album early (first press).

Parappa the Rapper TV Animation Soundtrack Volume 1 (320kbps+FLAC+BIN+Scans)

An album featuring half of the tracks used in the "Parappa the Rapper" TV-series. Includes the full version of the intro theme "Love Together" and the ending theme "School Girl", as well as two additional vocal tracks featured in the show, "Otona wa Tanoshii" and "Ai no Kizuna". The rest of the tracks are musical pieces used as background music. 

Also included are scans of the booklet, inlay, CD, a competition letter and cut-out figurines. To enter the contest, people had to push out the flat figurines included (picture SCN_0015) and glue them to sticks, just like in the intro. Then you had to use the backgrounds featured in the booklet to make your own "dance". The contest is long over, though.

I've also included burnable images provided by "Rich". Put in a blank CD and make a direct copy of the original CD in the highest quality possible! Also includes clean scans!

Parappa the Rapper - I Scream (320 kbps+FLAC+BIN+Scans)

I Scream is an infamous album, known for trying to teach morals and telling kids to stay away from drugs, alcohol and tobacco. The music itself is remixed tracks from the "Um Jammer Lammy" game, but with new lyrics and PJ singing alongside Parappa in a squeaky voice. The album art is similar to "Milkcan - Make it Sweet", with a picture of custom-made plushies on wooly ice cream as the cover.

This set includes scans of the whole CD and booklet, as well as six tracks in fantastic 320kbs quality. The booklet scans are mostly lyrics, which could be really helpful if you want to sing along!

Introduction

Hi everyone, and thanks for visiting my blog!

This blog is dedicated to fans of the classic rhythm game: "Parappa the Rapper". I'll post exclusive downloads, news, pictures and much, much more! If you're a fan of this much beloved franchise, please check back on this blog regularly for a bunch of goodies!

Now, for a more personal introduction:

I've loved this franchise since I was ten and my love for it still runs as high today, if not more than before. The characters, the humor, and most imporantly, the music, is all appealing aspects of this strange, but addictive japanese music game. I was new to music releated games at the time, but didn't find Singstar, Dance Dance Revolution or any other game within this genre interesting enough to play, as the music didn't really appeal to me. Then suddenly, on an european Playstation 2 demo disc included with the official Playstation magazine, came what would stick with me forever: Parappa the Rapper 2.

I've never been interested in music, besides using the radio as background noise while I'm working, but Parappa made me realize just how enjoyable music can be. Whetever it's Parappa 1, 2 or Um Jammer Lammy, they're all masterpieces.

So without further ado, welcome to the blog and I hope you will enjoy your stay! I'll do everything I can to make sure this blog stays up for as long as possible!
